Day-1 Arrival Chandigarh - Shimla

Chandigarh to Shimla: a 360 km climb into the hills

We meet you at Chandigarh Airport or Railway Station and set off for Shimla — around 360 km and a 9-hour drive, with a lunch stop en route (at your own expense). Check in with a welcome drink, then take the evening at leisure to settle in after the road trip and enjoy your first look at Shimla. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day-2 Shimla: Kufri & Shimla Local Sightseeing

A morning in Kufri, an evening on Shimla's Mall Road

Post-breakfast, set off for a half-day excursion to Kufri, a hill station whose name derives from a local word for "lake." Its Himalayan zoo houses antelope, wild cats and birds such as the Himalayan Monal, and Mahasu Peak makes for a scenic stop, with horse riding available on the day. Back in Shimla by evening, walk Scandal Point and the Ridge for Himalayan views, pass the statues of Indira Gandhi and Mahatma Gandhi and Christ Church, browse the wooden crafts of Lakkar Bazaar, and finish at Gaiety Theatre and Mall Road. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day-3 Shimla to Manali

Onward through Pandoh Dam and the Kullu Valley

Check out after breakfast and drive to Manali, passing Pandoh Dam, the Aut Tunnel and roadside apple orchards, with the Kullu Valley and Beas River in view and a stop to browse the Kullu emporium. Check in and spend the rest of the day at leisure — Manali is your base for the adventure sports ahead, from skiing and paragliding to rafting, trekking and mountain biking. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Manali.

Day-4 Manali: Solang Valley Rohtang Pass Up to Snow Line

Up to the snow line at Rohtang Pass

Set out early for Solang Valley, Gulaba, Marhi and Rohtang Pass up to the snow line, where snow-capped peaks, quiet lakes and (for much of the year) actual snow underfoot make for the trip's standout scenery. Solang Valley itself is the base for optional paragliding, biking and other adventure sports, plus a scenic cable car ride — all paid for directly on the spot. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Note : the Rohtang Pass excursion depends on NGT permit approval, with charges payable directly by the client.

Day-5 Manali: Local Sightseeing

Hadimba Temple, Tibetan Monastery and Mall Road

Spend today on Manali's local sights after breakfast: Hadimba Devi Temple (also called Dhungri Temple), Manu Temple, the Tibetan Monastery, Van Vihar and Manali Nature Park, wrapping up with time to browse Mall Road. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Manali.

Day-6 Manali: Departure

Homeward by overnight Volvo to Chandigarh

After breakfast, check out and complete formalities at the hotel reception before we transfer you to the Volvo station for your overnight coach back to Chandigarh, closing out the trip.
